There's a podcast available now for the entirety of the Davos session where Bill Gates had such nice things to say about my book. (I show up at the very end, though the whole thing is worth listening to, natch.) I got the quote slightly wrong in my earlier post; here's the official transcript:
First, I think this book is one that people should read pretty broadly. It's so counter intuitive, but I think it makes a very compelling case. And it really does fit it with what our foundation has found in the educational sector, which is that a lot of the failure to achieve is not challenging the kids enough, not making it interesting enough. So paradoxically, when you make it tougher, you get a higher level of engagement.
