These animated presentations on world development trends are as fascinating as anything I've seen online in recent months. Don't miss the animations of the 40-year trends in poverty reduction and infant mortality rates. Only regret is that the second-to-last chart that shows income/child mortality rates distributed within countries doesn't let you see the data for the US and Europe. But still, amazing stuff. I came across these a while ago, and was utterly fascinated. I am very interested in general in ways of portraying information graphically, whether it is infographs, Tufte style graphlines or animations like here.
